Summer Worship Hours (10:00 am worship) begins Sunday, May 27th

Worship – Sunday mornings at 10:45 a.m. (10 am Memorial Day wknd. – Labor Day wknd.)  The Sacrament of Communion is celebrated the 1st Sunday of each month.  Typical worship services contain a blend of traditional and some contemporary elements.  Music is a prominent part of the service as a song of preparation and 3 hymns are usually sung.  The gift of music is shared weekly by the adult choir, the youth choir, bell choir, a member of the congregation or a special guest.  A message for all ages is included every Sunday, a worship coloring table, children’s bulletin pages and a nursery are available each week.

Education: (Summer Hiatus for Sunday School classes begins May 27th)

Children’s Sunday School class – Will return Sunday morning Sept. 9th at 9:30 a.m., currently using the Deep Blue curriculum

Young Adult/Adult Sunday School class – Will return Sunday morning Sept. 9th at 9:30 a.m., we just finished an intergenerational study written by Adam Hamilton titled, “The Call”.

Seeds of Change – Will return Sunday morning Sept. 9th at 9:30 a.m., this adult class just concluded reading and discussing the book “Gather at the Table: The Healing Journey of a Daughter of Slavery and a Son of the Slave Trade” by Thomas Norman DeWolf and Sharon Leslie Morgan and will likely begin their summer hiatus.

Youth Group – Meets weekly (Sept. – May), Sunday evenings 6-8 p.m. Jr. and Sr. high youth gather each week for a variety of social, spiritual and service activities

Wednesday’s at New Covenant – The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with a fellowship meal. At 6:00 p.m. the group disperses for Bible Study and choir practices.  It is not necessary for you to attend the meal in order to participate in Bible study or choir. Currently, Bible study is using Rev. Adam Hamilton’s DVD curriculum, “The Call.” Wednesday’s at New Covenant are currently on summer hiatus, they will return on or around Sept. 5th.  

Food for Thought – 1st Tuesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. during the summer months (June 5th, July 3rd and August 7th), following a time of fellowship and sharing of snacks a time for study and the sharing of thoughts begins at approx. 6:15 p.m.  Each month a new word or phrase is selected for discussion and study.

Vacation Bible School – Every summer (This yr., June 24 – 28), included each year is a special needs Vacation Bible School class. This year’s VBS theme was “Shipwrecked”. There are classes for ages 3-12, as well as an adult special needs class. VBS will run from 6pm – 8:30pm each evening starting Sunday, June 24th and conclude Thursday, June 28th. Everyone is welcome!
