Worship – Sunday mornings at 10:45 a.m. (10 am Memorial Day wknd. – Labor Day wknd.) The Sacrament of Communion is celebrated the 1st Sunday of each month. Typical worship services contain a blend of traditional and some contemporary elements. Music is a prominent part of the service as a song of preparation and 3 hymns are usually sung. The gift of music is shared weekly by the adult choir, the children’s/youth choir (4th Sunday of the month), a member of the congregation or a special guest. A message for children is included every Sunday and child care is provided.
Children’s Sunday School class – Sunday morning 9:30 a.m., currently using the Deep Blue curriculum
Young Adult Sunday School class – Sunday morning 9:30 a.m., currently participating in an intergenerational study based on the movie, “The Shack”.
Seeds of Change – Sunday morning 9:30 a.m., this adult class is currently reading and discussing the book “Gather at the Table: The Healing Journey of a Daughter of Slavery and a Son of the Slave Trade” by Thomas Norman DeWolf and Sharon Leslie Morgan.
The Seekers – Sunday morning 9:30 a.m., this adult class is currently participating in an intergenerational study based on the movie, “The Shack”.
Youth Group – Sunday evenings 6-8 p.m., Jr. and Sr. high youth gather each week for a variety of social, spiritual and service activities
Wednesday’s at New Covenant – Wed. evening 5:30 p.m., following a fellowship meal, at 6:00 p.m. the group disperses for Bible Study and choir practices. It is not necessary for you to attend the meal in order to participate in Bible study or choir.
Food for Thought – 1st Tuesday of the month 5:30 p.m., following a time of fellowship and sharing of snacks a time for study and the sharing of thoughts begins at approx. 6:15 p.m. Each month a new word or phrase is selected for discussion and study. Group is currently taking a hiatus.
Vacation Bible School – Every summer (dates to be announced), included each year is a special needs Vacation Bible School class. This year’s VBS theme was “Hero Central”. There were classes for ages 3-12, as well as an all ages special needs class. VBS rans from 6pm – 8:30pm each evening starting Sunday, July 9th and concluding Thursday, July 13th.
