I’m writing this article as I’m preparing to write my annual report for the Congregational Meeting. But I’m not just thinking about the past year. I’m also thinking about our past 10 years of doing ministry together. I’m thinking about all the things we have planned this month, for the Advent and Christmas season and for next year.
I’m excited about our upcoming service of worship and communion on November 9th, celebrating our 10th anniversary as an Open and Affirming Congregation.
I’m looking forward to all that we have planned for the Advent and Christmas season.
- Hanging the Greens, November 23rd after worship and a light lunch.
- The Advent Bible study: “A Child Is Born,” beginning November 26th and 30th.
- Our Advent Sermon Series; “A Christmas Carol” beginning November 30th.
- The Holiday Market and Caroling, December 6th.
- The Christmas Pageant and Christmas Sweater Sunday, December 14th.
- Blue Christmas Sunday, December 21st.
- Christmas Eve worship, December 24th at 7pm
- Pajama Sunday with Lesson and Carols, December 28th.
Maybe most of all, I’m looking forward to all the ways we’ll celebrate our 50th anniversary as a congregation in 2026; worshiping, fellowshipping and doing mission and service projects together.
Peace and blessings,
Pastor Brad
