Journey House

After renovating the house located behind the church into four, two-bedroom apartments, Journey House was launched in 2007. For nearly 20 years, Journey House has helped dozens of Lycoming County families transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency.

For most of its history, Journey House’s Coordinator, Social Worker and Budget Coach placed families in the apartments and guided them through the program until they were able to transition into their own home or apartment. During the summer of 2025, we partnered with a local non-profit that now handles the placement of clients and the social services piece of the program. While New Covenant continues to maintain the building and the property, creating a safe space and stable environment for individuals and families to live and get back on their feet.
