As the calendar turns to January, the excitement of Christmas fades, the decorations get packed away and we return to our normal routines. Yet one constant remains, God’s faithfulness.
The start of a new year often comes with resolutions or expectations, but faith is not about perfection. It’s about our relationship with God. God’s faithful love does not depend on our productivity. It is constant, expansive and full of grace. Just as it was in 2025 and just as it will be in 2027.
As a small congregation, we walk our faith journeys together. We notice when someone is missing. We celebrate life’s joys and share our struggles. We don’t enter the new year alone, but as a community rooted in love, justice and extravagant welcome. Whatever this new year holds – change, challenges, healing, accomplishments – we face it together, knowing that God is faithful and with us on the journey.
During this, our 50th anniversary year as a congregation, may we grow deeper in love, wider in welcome, more convicted for justice, stronger in hope and more unshakable in our faith.
Grace and peace to you in the year ahead,
Pastor Brad
